A friend and I spotted the woodpecker drilling for food in a tree and followed it off the trail to a nearby creek where it landed on the bottom of a tree trunk and proceeded to dip it's bill in the water to drink. It was very neat to watch it lift it's head to swallow the water. Unfortunately, I was behind tall weeds and only got this one picture. I am glad I was able to get it, though! :D
